Project Background

Simon Schmid, Mayor of Baltmannsweiler, contacted HfK+G in response to an application for a communication concept as part of the 2016 budget consultations. In an initial discussion, the municipal administration pointed out that the revision of the homepage was on the agenda, but that the communication channels with the citizens in general should be put to the test. A communication concept should in particular serve to reach and inform the citizens in the best possible way in order to facilitate a better exchange.

Project Topic

An interdisciplinary research project of the HfK+G to investigate the identity and the brand core of the Baltmansweiler community. The resulting research on communication and communication paths up to the development, creative investigation and representation of multimedia communication paths and a visual identity of the place.

Stage 1 // Sommersemester 2017

Preparation of an as-is analysis / market research and surveys by students of advertising and market communication with initial results on the brand core of the municipality of Baltmannsweiler.

Stage 2 // Wintersemester 2017/18

Design studies on the basis of the survey and results on the visual identity and pointing out the communication channels by students from the Communication Design course with initial results.

Stage 3 // Wintersemester 2018/19

Corporate design implementation for the municipality of Baltamnnsweiler for print and non-print media.
