In addition to the tasks completed together during lessons at the university, self-study plays an important role in the training of young illustrators. This also includes the creation and design of a personal workbook. In it you will find examples of independent experimentation, handicraft finger exercises, ideas on topics that move and, of course, a collection of found illustrations and things that inspire visually. Whether it’s about creating characters, trying out (and commenting on) different drawing tools, creating patterns or handlettering examples, the workbook is meant to mirror the students’ curiosity and efforts to further develop their own visual language.
